Following the public review and comment period for the NSF Dahlgren JLUS, all public comments received were catalogued and addressed in the JLUS documents as appropriate to produce the Final JLUS and Background Report. The NSF Dahlgren JLUS, Background Report and Executive Summary were approved by the JLUS Policy Committee on January 20, 2015 with revisions. The reports will be presented to the Study Area jurisdictions for adoption in the coming months. The Final JLUS documents with Policy Committee revisions can be downloaded below.

The final Public Forum for the NSF Dahlgren JLUS was held in King Gerorge, VA at the University of Mary Washington, Dahlgren Campus, 4224 University Drive on December 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM. During the Public Forum the Public Draft JLUS was discussed and an overview of the JLUS and public comment process were provided to attendees. Following the presentation, the JLUS project development team addressed questions from attendees and facilitated an interactive dialogue using wall mounted maps. The Public Draft was released on November 21, 2014 on this website. The public comment period ended on December 15, 2014. Attendees at the Open Houses were encouraged to ask questions and provide comments on the Public Draft JLUS.

Project Overview. The Project Overview menu contains a JLUS Overview page and Study Area page. The project overview page provides a brief overview of the Dahlgren JLUS project and explains what a JLUS is, describes compatibility planning, and identifies how past JLUSs have been successful. You can also find the project objectives a summary of the general approach to the project here. This menu will give you access to background information on this project.
